Gaza hospital director warns of worsening humanitarian and health crisis

Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiya, the director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, has issued a grave warning about the worsening humanitarian and health crisis in the region.

He stated that around 1.6 million people are at risk of famine and malnutrition, including 74,000 children and 25,000 pregnant women. The healthcare system is under severe strain due to rising malnutrition, infectious diseases, and shortages of medical supplies.

Dr. Abu Salmiya emphasized that the situation is deteriorating rapidly, leading Gaza towards a potential health and humanitarian collapse.
