KSrelief volunteers perform 75 cardiac operations in Nigeria in four days
A volunteer medical team has successfully conducted 75 cardiac procedures in Nigeria over just four days. This initiative, overseen by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, is part of a broader project aimed at improving cardiac health in the region. The team performed 10 open-heart surgeries and 65 interventional catheterizations, showcasing the commitment to providing essential medical services to underserved communities. The project is a collaboration with the Al-Balsam Association for Training and Health Development, highlighting the importance of partnerships in humanitarian efforts. With a goal of 28 open-heart surgeries and 80 diagnostic procedures, the initiative aims to address critical health needs in Nigeria. This effort not only saves lives but also raises awareness about the importance of cardiac care in the region. Such humanitarian projects are vital in Muslim-majority countries, where access to specialized medical care can be limited. The success of this initiative reflects the dedication of volunteers and organizations working to improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
