Why negotiating with the Houthis is futile

The ongoing conflict in Yemen has lasted over a decade, leading to discussions about negotiating with the Houthis as a potential solution.

Some argue that recognizing the Houthis as a legitimate authority could be a pragmatic approach, given the historical context of governance in Yemen.

However, the fundamental issues with the Houthi ideology and their opposition to the concept of a unified state complicate any potential negotiations, raising concerns about the viability of such an approach.
